Although no tin is being mined in Cornwall these days, we are proud to hold the very last reserves of tin ore extracted from the world famous South Crofty Mine just prior to its closure in 1998. This valuable tin ore continues to be smelted on an ongoing basis to meet the needs of the Collection. here
